Traffic Congestion
Traffic congestion on Franklin Regional's main campus is of concern during school concerts, athletic and other events. Schools find themselves working to find solutions to parking issues that arise when two events are scheduled at the same time for different schools. The pictures below illustrate the parking congestion and pedestrian crossing difficulties that occur when two or more events occur simultaneously on the main campus. The Elementary Campus design works to alleviate this type of congestion for bus and visitor vehicular traffic and allows for more parking and pedestrian space for the secondary schools on the main campus.
