Panther Stadium Upgrades Near Completion

Murrysville, PA (August 16, 2019) ~ Franklin Regional School District’s Panther Stadium received upgrades over the summer including removal of the old artificial turf, repair of the field’s shock-absorbing layer, removal of the asphalt in both "D" zones, installation of gravel, added drainage and a shock-absorbing layer to the “D” zones, and the installation of new Astroturf. The project also includes a new fence and a resurfacing of the track area. The artificial turf at Panther Stadium was last replaced in the summer of 2009. Weather permitting, the stadium enhancements should be wrapped up by mid-August. The stadium has been closed to the public since June 8, 2019, and will remain closed until the project is completed.
