The public is invited to join the Notre Dame Club of Greensburg/Uniontown and Franklin Regional Senior High School for the 2025 Hesburgh Lecture on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Franklin Regional Senior High School auditorium.
This year’s lecture, “Ethical Leadership: Why Integrity Matters,” will be presented by Jessica McManus Warnell, Associate Teaching Professor at the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame.
During the school day, Professor McManus Warnell will also meet with select high school classes to discuss the importance of ethics in decision-making and the role of integrity in shaping future leaders.
That evening, she will expand on these themes for the broader community, exploring why integrity and purpose are essential cornerstones for today’s leaders, and how they shape both personal success and organizational impact.

A non-perishable food collection will also be held during the Lecture to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
The Hesburgh Lecture Series, inspired by the late Rev. Theodore Hesburgh’s legacy of lifelong learning, brings University of Notre Dame faculty into local communities to share knowledge, spark dialogue, and strengthen connections between alumni, students, and friends of Notre Dame.
About Professor Jessica McManus Warnell
Jessica McManus Warnell is the Rex and Alice A. Martin Faculty Director of the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership, and a Teaching Professor in the Department of Management and Organization at the Mendoza College of Business. Jessica teaches courses in business ethics, sustainability, inclusive leadership, managing early career employees, and business and culture in Japan. She also serves as the Managing Director for Research Engagement, Operations, and Engagement for the Human-centered Analytics Lab (HAL) at Notre Dame. A past recipient of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education North America Chapter Award for Teaching Excellence, Jessica serves as an affiliate faculty or fellow of several campus institutes and programs. Her current research explores business students’ values orientations, inclusive business and business education, and sustainable businesses and communities, including community and economic recovery in the wake of natural disasters. Jessica is the author of Engaging Millennials for Ethical Leadership: What Works for Young Professionals and Their Managers, part of the Giving Voice to Values collection on corporate social responsibility.
