Parents/Guardians who will have a kindergarten student during the 26–27 school year must register their student between March 1–31, and are encouraged to participate in the following incoming kindergarten events:
- March 12 – Parent Information Night: Join the Primary team in the FRPS cafe on Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. for an interactive evening designed for incoming Kindergarten parents. Meet FRPS staff and PTO, sign up for the Story Walk and Kindergarten Screenings, learn about FRPS, and more at this adults only event!
- May 20 – Pete the Cat Story Walk: Join the Primary team at FRPS on Wednesday, May 20 for this incoming kindergarten student literacy event. Families will sign up for a 30 minute window to attend the event during the March 12 Parent Information Night. Rain date: Thursday, May 21.
- May–June – Kindergarten Screenings will take place by appointment from May 29–June 4. Families will sign up for an appointment during the March 12 Parent Information Night. Screenings take approximately 15 minutes and helps the FRPS team to customize student learning in the fall.
- August – August Open House and Meet the Teacher: Families are invited to FRPS to tour the school, visit their classroom, and meet their new teacher on Wednesday, August 19.
