The Franklin Regional School District is excited to announce that groundbreaking for the redevelopment of the new tennis courts will begin this week. Starting Wednesday, May 6, the tennis courts, playground, softball field, and the accompanying parking lot on the district’s 6–12 campus will be closed as construction begins.
The area is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2026.
Community members using the playground near the tennis courts are encouraged to visit the playground outside the Newlonsburg Administrative Center outside of school hours.
The redevelopment of the tennis courts is a part of a larger facilities initiative to provide safe, modern, and inspiring spaces for students and the community. With these updates, all students will have access to resources that will support college and career athletic opportunities, enhance physical education opportunities during the school day, and expand opportunities for community use and involvement.
