Welcome to Earth & Space Science and Advanced Astronomy
My name is Lynne Stalnaker, and I teach Honors Earth & Space Science, Academic Earth & Space Science, and Advanced Astronomy. I have been teaching at Franklin Regional for over 20 years, and love being part of the FR family.
The Earth & Space Science courses are traditionally 9th grade courses that will introduce students to concepts in geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy. The Advanced Astronomy course is a more in-depth study of topics in astronomy, including: the history of astronomy, our solar system, astrobiology, cosmology, and space travel. The course is a project based class and includes new advances and discoveries that are currently occuring in astronomy today. This class is available for 11th and 12th grade students.
