Franklin Regional School District’s PlaySchool Program Opens Registration for the 2019-20 School Year

The Franklin Regional Senior High School’s (FRSH) PlaySchool program is now accepting applications for the 2019-20 sessions starting October 15, 2018, and February 10, 2019. Playschool is a preschool age play program that is open to any child who is 3, 4, or 5 years old. This program serves as a learning laboratory for the Child Development II students at FRSH. It is a program where preschool-age children and high school students learn from one another.

Franklin Regional Welcomes New Staff

Franklin Regional School District welcomed 18 new teachers and one building administrator during a four-day orientation on August 8-13, 2019. Teachers learned about the district through various presentations by administrators and principals. The teachers will serve their respective schools in either a full-time (contract), short-term substitute, or long-term substitute position.

Franklin Regional School District’s Board of School Directors voted to approve a motion to accept the awarding of Prime Contracts for the Sloan Elementary Additions & Alterations Project, the New Franklin Regional Intermediate School Project, and Sloan Campus Site Work Project.

FR Media Students Earn Emmy Awards

Franklin Regional Senior High School students won two Student Production Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Student Emmy Awards) including  Colton Oaks and Cecilia Petrush (News Package) and Ryan Lucht, Producer, Dan Cecere, Nick Rose, Colten Oakes, Cecilia Petrush, Angelina Pampena, and Natalie Wright (Documentary).

FRSH Student Named a USA Biology Olympiad Bronze Medalist at UC San Diego

Bhav Jain, a senior at Franklin Regional Senior High School, was one of five students to earn a Bronze Medal at The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) 16th Annual USA Biology Olympiad (USABO) National Finals hosted for the first time by UC San Diego. Nearly 10,500 students from 479 schools and 47 states registered in the nationwide high school competition.
