Family Right-to-Know
Under the requirements of Federal programs, the parents in schools that receive Title I funds are notified annually that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s teacher(s) and any paraprofessionals that may work with their child. This requirements is outlined in The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESSA), Section 1112(e)(1)(A) and the Every Student Succeeds Act, Section 1112(e)(1)(A).
In Franklin Regional School District, any parent may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s teacher(s) and of any paraprofessionals that may work with their child. Parents from Franklin Regional Primary School (a Title I building) will receive written letters each fall to meet the outlined requirements.
If a child in a Title I school is assigned to or being taught for four or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who is not appropriately state certified, Franklin Regional School District will send written notification to that child’s family.
